💻 IPOs & SPACs
  • Hyphen, a comparison tool for credit cards with 10 million monthly viewers across Asia, might have found a strategic buyer in the form of Peter Thiel’s Bridgetown Holdings Ltd. SPAC.
🤝 M&A - Fintech
  • Greenwood, a neobank platform for Black and Latino customers, acquired Kinly, another black-owned neobank with a similar mission that shut down last month. The two combined will have over 1 million members.
  • Rêv Worldwide, a mobile-first payment solutions provider and banking-as-a-service company, completed the $1 billion acquisition of Netspend’s consumer business from Global Payments that it announced last August.
🏦 M&A - Bank and FinServ
  • Deutsche Bank reached an agreement to acquire UK corporate banking house Numis Corporation in an all-cash offer, valuing it at £410 million.
  • 💔 Toronto-Dominion Bank and First Horizon Corp abandoned their planned $13.4 billion merger after the Canadian bank said it couldn’t see a clear path to getting regulatory approval.
  • Private equity firm Blackstone is mulling a purchase of Dutch merchant bank NIBC.
  • British asset manager Liontrust will acquire its Swiss counterpart GAM Holding for $121 million.
