Pix, Brazil’s national payments system, now serves three-quarters of adults and 19 million businesses and processes 45% of all payments nationwide. Platforms like Cumbuca are helping global companies tap into Brazil by offering direct access to the Central Bank through a payment initiation license.

Venture Financing
  • Flex raised $60 million in Series B at a $500 million valuation to build an AI-powered, all-in-one finance platform for mid-sized businesses, bundling private credit, business finance, personal finance, and payments.
  • Sokin raised €42.9 million (~$50 million) in a Series B at a $300 million valuation to expand its global payments and treasury infrastructure platform.
  • Nevis raised $35 million in Series A to build an AI-powered wealth management platform to help financial advisors automate workflows.
  • Higala raised $4 million to expand digital services for rural banks and microfinance institutions across the Philippines.
  • Barker raised $3.5 million to scale its agentic valuation system, transforming illiquid asset valuations into insurance-backed instruments.
  • Pruv Finance raised $3 million to build compliant real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure that enables on-chain distribution of tokenized assets.
  • Mannjal raised ₹17.5 crore (~$1.9 million) in a seed round to scale its lending infrastructure for financial institutions serving underserved entrepreneurs.
  • Renno raised €1 million (~$1.2 million) to tackle cash flow delays in Europe’s €850 billion construction sector, helping contractors get paid faster.

Debt Financing
  • Placet Group secured a €12.5 million loan facility via Multitude AG’s wholesale-banking unit to grow its consumer and SME lending operations in Estonia.

Venture Funds
  • Nexus Venture Partners, an Indian VC firm, closed a $700 million fund to back fintech, AI, enterprise software, and consumer startups.
  • Expedition Growth Capital raised €323 million (~$375 million) for its Fund III to back bootstrapped, high-growth software companies across Europe, and has previously invested in fintech and payments startups.
