  1. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) deputy governor criticised stablecoins, arguing they pose risks to monetary sovereignty and financial stability, while recommending central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) as a superior alternative.
  2. Groww received SEBI approval to operate as an Online Bond Platform Provider, enabling direct corporate bond distribution to retail investors.
  3. Indian general insurers reported 24% YoY premium growth in November, with Bajaj Allianz leading with a 193% surge
  4. Insurance companies in India approached the Union government to participate in the FASTag digital toll payment ecosystem by issuing stickers.
