IPOs

  • PayPay jumped ~19% in its March 12 Nasdaq debut, opening at $19 after pricing its IPO at $16, raising ~$880M and valuing the SoftBank-backed Japanese digital wallet at $13 billion (ticker: PAYP).

  • Suma Acquisition Corp. priced a $150 million SPAC IPO on Nasdaq targeting technology-enabled middle-market businesses valued at $400M–$800M (ticker: SUMA).

  • Vernal Capital Acquisition increased its offering by 67% ahead of a $100 million US SPAC IPO, targeting businesses across the Asia-Pacific region (ticker: VECAU).

M&A - Fintech

  • OakNorth acquired Monite, a Berlin/London-based embedded finance provider, for an undisclosed sum, gaining capabilities in invoicing, bill payments, expense management, and cash flow analytics for B2B platforms.

M&A - Banks and Financial Institutions

  • RBC acquired Pinch Financial, a Toronto-based digital mortgage platform that enables lenders and real estate partners to pre-qualify borrowers and generate verified mortgage applications.

  • Crédit Agricole Ukraine agreed to acquire Bank Lviv, an SME-focused Ukrainian bank with 37K+ retail clients and 8.4K SME clients, in an undisclosed deal expected to close mid-2026.
