Hola amig@s fintech,
In Brazil, buying in installments has always meant swiping a credit card. EBANX and Pagaleve just broke that link. Their new product, Pix 4x, splits purchases into payments using Pix instead of a card, aimed at the roughly 60 million Brazilians who don't hold one. The risk call happens in under three seconds, blending credit score with more than 100 other signals, device, transaction size, customer profile, so approval doesn't hinge on having a credit history at all. It launches with 500+ merchants across retail, gaming, and education. Small footprint for now, but it's aimed squarely at a gap cards never closed.
Enjoy the read.
